Best of June + Intentions for July

June seriously flew by for me! My days were packed, in the best kinds of ways.. time with family, photo shoots, adventures with friends, TRAVEL. I love summertime. That being said, I’m happy to put June behind me and settle into a nice routine in July and August that is hopefully a little less crazy : ) My big goals for July are to relax, exercise and read a lot.. but let’s recap June first!

A Look at June

Top Three Moments:

1. California! It’s impossible to choose just one moment so I’ll pick a few: lunch at Nepenthe in Big Sur, biking over the Golden Gate Bridge and hiking Torrey Pines State Park in San Diego.

2. Celebrating Kelly’s 30th on a Boston Harbor Tour the fam

3. Sunday of Father’s Day, and then celebrating again later that week with Sox tickets and the day off with Dad, courtesy of my boss.

Top Three Posts:

1. Danielle + Peter’s Engagement Shoot (These two are so popular!)

2. Katie, Adam + Teddy’s Family Shoot

3. When Your Hobby Becomes Your Career

Music, Miles, Looks, Books:

1. Music: Dust / Eli Young Band, Drunk on a Plane / Dierks Bentley, Meanwhile Back at Mama’s / Tim McGraw

2. Miles: Didn’t keep track of mileage but I’ve been running a lot! Oh how far gone are my days of Garmin stats and time splits..

3. Looks: Stripes, skirts, and more stripes.

4. Books: Didn’t do much new reading this month.. I’ve been re-reading the Harry Potter series because it’s comforting and easy.

Intentions for July

  • Try one new thing
  • Shoot something for myself once a week
  • Move in some way every day, preferably outside.

How was your June? What are your July goals/intentions?

  • June was an amazing month for you! That is awesome that you got a day off to spend with your dad at a game! And of course, I love all your striped looks. 🙂 I am impressed that you can run without your garmin – even though I have not really been training for the last 6 months or so, I never run without it!

My month of June was busy but good. I focused on settling into my apartment and my new job, hosted a party at Phil’s and tried to see as many friends as I can!ReplyCancel

  • June was really busy for you! I totally understand the feeling of after having a crazy month you just want to settle in and relax. Hope the rest of the summer is rejuvenating for you!ReplyCancel

  • What a wonderful month! I’m looking forward to getting my blog and fitness in order in July. I made some great progress in June but feel like July is when it’s really all going to come together!ReplyCancel

  • June was such a good month for you! What a nice way to kick off the summer months. 🙂

June was a good month for me, too, even though nothing spectacular happened. It was just a low-key, low stress, easy month. I hope July is some of the same!ReplyCancel

    • Caroline

Those are the best months, in my opinion!ReplyCancel

  • We definitely have the same taste in music 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Taking photos of Max counts as shooting for yourself right? Ha ha.
I love all your outfits and I definitely think the boat cruise was my top thing in June too!ReplyCancel

  • […] Looking back, I find it amusing that I even thought July would give me a chance to “slow down”. WHAT? July is busy season at work and in photography. It’s also summer which means trips, sports and other fun evening activities. I also felt some weird urge to take my intention to “try one new thing” to try one new thing.. a day. Okay, a little bit of an exaggeration.. but seriously. I was pushing my comfort zone left and right in July. All good things, but stressful and uncomfortable nonetheless. Anyways, let’s recap July!
